    GMIT curriculum

    Master's Degree Programme in Industrial Engineering and Management – Global Management of Innovation and Technology, is worth 120 ECTS credits. The language of instruction is English. The Programme starts annually and lasts two years.

    The programme course package is worth about 90 credits each representing the workload of 26 hours work including lectures, home work and examination. LUT credit units correspond to ECTS credits. At the end of your studies you write a M.Sc. thesis counted as an additional 30 credits.

    Master's of Science (Tech.) 120 ECTS credits consists of:

    • Core Studies
    • Specialisation Studies
    • Minor Studies

    Compensation for the Russian double degree students from the partner university's studies to LUT degree (altogether max. 50 ECTS credits) is included followingly: Core studies 30 ECTS credits and minor studies 20 ECTS credits.

    Please note that if student's former degree in university or UAS is not from the field of technology, some non-degree complementary studies may be set as a prerequisities for the M.Sc. (Tech.) degree. The extent of these studies depends on the content of the previous degree. The required complementary studies are determined when a student makes his or her first personal study plan. Check the extent of complementary studies from the study affairs services.

    NB: Students who have started their studies before 2016, can finish their degree according to their personal study plan, which is fixed in the beginning of their studies. More information from the study councellors.
