Renewal of Your Residence Permit to Finland

Please note that when going for an international traineeship, you also need to consider the timing for the traineeship according to the expiry date of your Residence Permit admitted to Finland – since you do need to have a valid RP to be able to come back to Finland from the traineeship. The other option would be to be able to start the renewal process for the RP very early, to be able to have a valid RP before even leaving for your traineeship. At the moment, the renewal process is taking approximately 5 months.

NOTE! Do not purchase any flight tickets etc. before your residence permit is granted.
