If the duration of your study right has not expired yet


If the duration of your study right according to the Universities Act has not expired yet, but your previous enrolment has been more than a year ago and you wish to continue your studies at LUT, you must apply for for the reinstatement of your study right. The application form should include reasons for the interruption of the studies and reasons for now continuing them. In addition, the application must include your updated personal study plan (PSP), current address and other contact information through which we can reach you if we need more information. The application form is submitted to the Student Customer Services. Before submitting the application form to the Student Customer Services, doctoral students are asked to contact LUT Doctoral School for further instructions.

The decision will be sent to you by the Student Services. If the decision is favourable, you will also receive an enrolment form and instructions on the payment of the student union membership fee and the re-enrolment fee. When you have submitted the enrolment form and the payment receipts to the Student Customer Services, you will be entered into the student register as an attending student and you will be able to continue your studies. Please notice that the Student Union fee does not apply to doctoral students so there are no compulsory fees to be paid.

If the duration of your study right has already expired


If the duration of your study right has already expired according to the Universities Act, you will have to apply for an extension to your study right, please look further information here.  In addition, you will have to also apply for reinstatement of your study right. The application form should include reasons for reinstatement and an updated personal study plan (PSP).  In addition, the application must include your current address and other contact information through which we can reach you if we need more information. The application form for extended right to study and  the application form for reinstatement of your study right are submitted to the Student Customer Services.

If the decision is favourable, you will also receive an enrolment form and instructions on the payment of the student union membership fee and the re-enrolment fee.
