    Degree Structure Degree Structure

    The Master's degree programmes take two years, correspond to 120 ECTS credits and lead to the degree of Master of Science in Technology. Three semesters  include lectures and exercises, as well as laboratory and project work. The fourth semester is  devoted to the Master's thesis. The language of tuition in the programmes is English.


    Master's Programme in Chemical Engineering and Water Treatment (2019-2020)

    The degree structure of 120 ECTS consists of:
    - Core studies
    - Specialisation either in Chemical and Process Engineering or in Water Treatment. The specialisation studies include a Master's thesis and seminar of 30 ECTS.
    - Minor studies
    - Elective studies.


    Master's Programme in Biorefineries  (2019-2020)

    This M.Sc. programme is suitable for distance learning.
    The degree structure of 120 ECTS consists of:
    - Core studies
    - Specialisation in Biobased Process Engineering. The specialisation studies include a Master's thesis and seminar of 30 ECTS.
    - Minor studies
    - Elective studies.


    Master's Programme in Engineering, Entrepreneurship and Resources (2019-2020)

    The degree structure of 120 ECTS consists of:
    - Specialisation in Process Engineering and Entrepreneurship of 90 ECTS. Specialisation studies include a min. of 60 ECTS of studies at LUT (a min. of 30 ECTS of courses and a jointly supervised Master's thesis of 30 ECTS) and a credit transfer of a min. of 30 ECTS of the studies from the student's home university.
    - no minor or elective studies.
     

    Master's Programme in Chemical and Process Engineering (last intake in 2017-2018)

    The degree structure of 120 ECTS consists of:
    - Core studies
    - Specialisation studies, which include a Master's thesis and seminar of 30 ECTS
    - Minor studies
    - Free elective studies.
     

    Master's Programme in Chemical Engineering for Water Treatment (last intake in 2017-2018)

    The degree structure of 120 ECTS consists of:
    - Core studies
    - Specialisation studies, which include a Master's thesis and seminar of 30 ECTS
    - Minor studies
    - Free elective studies.
     

    Prosessikemian DI-ohjelma (last intake in 2017-2018)

    The M.Sc. in Process Chemistry is taught in Finnish.
    The degree structure of 120 ECTS consists of:
    - Core studies
    - Specialisation studies, which include a Master's thesis and seminar of 30 ECTS
    - Minor studies
    - Free elective studies.
