Software Engineering degree – passport to future
The degree programme in Software Engineering runs a Bachelor's programme (taught in Finnish) and two different Master's programmes. The Master's programmes are Software Engineering and Digital Transformation and Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in Pervasive Computing and Communications for Sustainable Development (PERCCOM).
The Master's Programme in Software Engineering and Digital Transformation leads to the degree of Master of Science (Technology). Studying software engineering is worthwhile because working in this field of expertise means building the future, there is a wide range of career opportunities, the employment rate is high and the salary competitive.
Graduates from the degree programme find employment in e.g. software houses, telecommunications, digital media, industries, product development, research (doctoral studies), education, consultancy, or starting a business of their own. These professionals have an excellent employment outlook.
Due to the degree programme's wide selection of courses, you can develop your skills by focusing on the software engineering, and broaden your knowhow by choosing e.g. International Business and Management or Entrepreneurship as the minor studies. In addition, it is possible to study abroad as an exchange student.
