Computational Engineering is a part of the LUT School of Engineering Science. The competence areas and research focus of Computational Engineering are Applied Mathematics, Machine Vision and Pattern Recognition (MVPR), Business Analytics and Computational Physics as well as Applied Optics. Computational Engineering develops algorithms for data-driven problems, with applications in industry, business analytics, remote sensing and large-scale data-assimilation problems.
The degree programme in Computational Engineering has a Bachelor's programme (taught in Finnish) and three Master's programmes aimed at both Finnish and international students, Data-Centric Engineering, Business Analytics and Technical Physics. Master´s programmes are worth 120 credits and lead to a Master of Science in Technology degree.
